Monday Night Jazz Hour With Orilla and La Lucha

The Monday Night Jazz Hour is the weekly virtual performance offering during this current time to replace the live Monday Night Jazz Jam event that we've hosted at the Hangar Restaurant and Flight Lounge for the past 10 years. Each week the MNJH features a different group of jazz musicians in performance streamed live from the New Groove City Music Complex between 6-7 pm. Back by popular demand on the Monday Night Jazz Hour (MNJH), the Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association is excited to present the thrilling duet, Orilla! Orilla is the collaborative duo project of vocalist Ona Kirei and bassist Alejandro Arenas. Through their time playing together, from Ona's project Iberia and concerts with Alejandro's band La Lucha, they realized a love of exploring varied music styles. This was the catalyst to "Orilla," a duet that showcases some of their favorite songs and own compositions. From Jazz to Pop and Baiao to Bolero, the material is as diverse as their backgrounds. Orilla will be joined on this special edition by renowned Tampa Bay area drummer, Mark Feinman. In a night full of sophisticated interplay, get ready to enjoy a brilliant performance from Orilla!
